ABSTRACT: This study Investigated the Role of Early Childhood Education in Building Ethical Behavior. The objectives of this study were to: (1) evaluate the role of early childhood education (ECE) in instilling ethical values in young children, (2) assess the impact of moral education activities on behavior, and (3) determine the long-term benefits of early ethical training on social conduct. A survey design was chosen for this research to collect detailed data from educators, parents, and children about their experiences and observations regarding ethical education in ECE. A sample size of 180 participants, including preschool teachers, parents, and children aged 4-6, was selected through purposive sampling. The case study was conducted in early childhood education centers in Edo State, Nigeria, known for its emphasis on moral education. Findings revealed that ECE programs significantly improved children's ethical behavior and social conduct, contributing to a more respectful and responsible community. It was recommended that early childhood education centers integrate ethical education into their curricula and provide training for educators to effectively teach ethical values.
